Main Level Foundation and Stem Wall Construction

After excavating the main level foundation area, there was a tremendous amount of dirt/rocks piled up on the side of the construction site. The next step in the project was to backfill up to the stem walls with a crushed aggragate. The most cost effective approach was to rent a rock crusher to create our own aggragate using the rock pile on-site (rather than to have the aggragate trucked in and to pay to have the dirt/rock pile trucked out).

Pages 5 & 6 show the process used to create the backfill aggragate from the dirt/rock that was excavated on-site.
